Conquer yourself

It is not the Mountain that we conquer but ourselves. To be a able to achieve any success in life, we must first of all  conquer our self.  The external mountain that we see are only a reflection of the real mountain within. In our attempt to conquer them, we learn the art and therefore go on to conquer our real enemy - ourselves. We need to conquer our fears, our laziness, Our beliefs, Our laziness, Our learned helplessness, The scarcity mind set we adopt. We need to tame our body and programme it to synchronise with the efficiency and effectiveness of our spirit. A great man once said “we are created to live, not to prepare to live“.  But our bodies must learn to live and they must learn of our spirits by adopting and adjusting to it in all ramification. Until this happens the individual will not experience true happiness. What we tell our body is the thing that shuts it down.  Many people are very happy to say “this is too hard“ or “I give up“ they deny that...

Team work

Cooperation makes it easy. My son was starting out to school. As the father, I undertook to bath him and dress him up for school. He wouldn't let any other person. They will go through frustrating experiences and pressure that at the end the dressing is too shabby. In my hands he yields so reverently and the job is very smooth, free and easy. His cooperation with me made it easy. It wasn't because I have any special art of dressing nor was it because others do not know too. I watched a football match. It was a crucial world cup qualifying match between the Nigerian Super Eagles and the Zambian National team played at the Uyo International Stadium.  Both teams needed the match and they did not hesitate to gun for it. The players played out their hearts but the goals  refused to come. The opposition was strong and all that was needed was just a goal. Any trace of selfishness is a canker-worm. I watched in excitement as a player trust the ball from the left flank to his team...
