Help your brain



The brain is the busiest part of the human body. It needs help. That is why you have books, paper, pen, and any other writing materials. When the brain gets very busy, it could easily be cloaked up by various kinds of thoughts especially the negatives. When that happens, it becomes extremely slow with the possibility to shut down entirely.

The brain has capacity. Too much thoughts tends to eat up that capacity. It clouds and clusters it making it loose effectiveness. To help the brain retain its optimum performance, there is need to de-cluster it of excessive noise and negativities. Negativities like worries, fear, anxiety, draw the mind in anticlockwise direction instead creating frustration, confusion, nervousness etc.

Write it down
One way to help the brain is to decongest or offload the brain on regular basis. You could do that by the use of your hands as a release agent or medium by writing them down. Anytime you feel your head is overloaded, simply pick up your pen and paper and pen down whatever it is that is there. You will marvel at the way your mind will immediately feel free, rejuvenated and relieved. Not only that, leave he paper  for sometime say one hour, and come back to it, you might just discover that what has been causing you anxiety all these while is after all not important. Delete them.

You will feel your mental energy bounce back to full capacity.

Sometimes, there may be lofty ideas and needed to be given better treatment. You then designate, delegate or do them as time permits.

Replace negative thought with positive thought
Another way to help the brain is to replace negative thoughts with positive ones using the ‘law of substitution’. I did not say adjust, modify, update or realign, I said replace, no matter how patronizing the thoughts seem. It is not the object of your thought that is important, but the type of thought. The feelings you get by engaging on them. Replace those negative thoughts that worry you with thoughts that give you power. For example, if you are worried that your job is at stake and you might lose it, replace that thought with the thoughts of prominent skills and capacities you have which you can trade for monetary gains.
If you are worried that a loved one may die, replace it with your understanding that this is the way of all mortals and that if there was anything you could have done to avert it, you could have done so happily. If you are worried that age is approaching, think of all the achievements you have already made, the people and family you have put smiles on their faces and other non material positive contributions you have already made to life. Surely you will not be forgotten in a hurry.

Focusing on positive rather than negative things will pour a healing balm on your hurting head.

Make a list
Everything has a solution, you haven’t looked hard enough. To help decongest the brain, you need to develop the art of using lists. Lists help you see concretely abstract ideas on your mind. They help you properly position, track, view and organize events and tasks in your day. They can also help you relive and focus on happy memories that can effectively substitute for the hurting ones.

A good list should be very simple. Lengthy and Cumbersome list is a fast way to discouragement.

A list of 3 – 5 items on the following items would be ok for the day

  • Specific things that made you happy during the day
  • Specific tasks you need to do the following day
  • Specific advantages/strength you need to leverage on
Get this done last thing before the bed at night. Review it early in the morning before the rushing hours of the morning. Be sure to attach definite time frame to items on list two. They will guild and guard you on track during your day. If during the course of the day, a strange thought comes across your mind, remember to release it into the papers through your hands.

Keep your mind with all diligence for out of it comes the vicissitudes of life. Your ability to manage your heart by taking control of your head will cause you to stand where you otherwise would fall. Save yourself all the trouble, help your brain to help your life, Crack the code.
