Slowing down made me faster...

One day I was taking my son to school. My car had broken down and we had to trek to his school. I was almost getting late and I saw my neighbour whom  I haven't seen in a long while. That pleasantry took a little longer that I was getting really late. However as soon as I was set to go another parent who was dropping off his daughter in the school just pulled off and picked us. That lift made my journey faster and brought us to the school just in the niche of time. Had it been I did not slow down to greet my friend I would have strolled off in a different route, I would have missed the vehicle and I would have arrived the school late.

Now this story might not be the same as yours or might be funny but it intuited me a lesson of value. Sometimes we need to Slow down to arrive on time.

How many times has it happened to you that you rushed to do things and you missed it still and when you are gone the thing happened. This is an every day experience for people. As human, sometimes we are too early, some times you are too late. But nature has a way of re-arranging situations and condition to make us hit it at the niche of time. When that happens you just know it was an act of God.

Why are we always in a hurry,  is it not better to arrive alive than to arrive “late“. In a hurry a lot of people has broken down with stroke or high blood pressure. A lot still have found themselves locked up in a prison yard where they loose the time big time.

We really need to slow down a bit to ensure that we cross all Ts and dot all Is and that we do not ever need to return back to square one because of a past error. Do your due dilligence at the onset or early stage. Those boring things like asking the right questions, seeking to get familiar with the processes and procedures, researching both online and offline about what you want to do. Seeking for expertise, planning and laying out templates and doing the foundational things before you take off. And don't restrict this process to business, it is applicable everywhere: marriage, school, health, relationship, socials, finance, name them.

When you have finally taken off, do not shy from slowing it down when it is obvious to you that going further might cause more loss than gain. Do the right things right, make sure you are back on track before resuming speed. If you do these, it will ony be a matter of time before your success will show. Crack the code.
